Kory L. Body is a storyteller whose creative journey spans over 35 years. A proud native of the Inland Empire, Kory has built a vibrant career as a children’s book author, songwriter, playwright, filmmaker, and performing artist, now best known for bringing the Fuzzy Furry Forest kids book world to life.
His popular Fuzzy Furry Forest children’s adventure stories about courage and kindness include four heartwarming titles: Ruffles, Oswald the Wise Old Owl, Sheriff Slinky Snake, and the beloved children’s book Kelly Kanga, co-written with his wife, Genevieve Body. Kelly Kanga introduces the first female character in the Forest, expanding the Kelly Kanga series with deeper representation and imagination.
Kory’s mission is simple: to bring joy, encouragement, and meaningful life lessons to young readers. Through uplifting characters and lessons, he hopes to inspire imagination in families everywhere.
When he’s not writing, Kory shares his creativity as a member of The Shameless Band, captivating audiences with energetic live performances. He also co-hosts the podcast Take the Elevator, where he highlights uplifting stories, thoughtful conversations, and community positivity.
